Midi-Pyrenees

Picture

Unspoilt countryside, grand wide open spaces, characteristic villages and some of Frances most historic buildings.

The famous mountainous Pyrenees offers a stunning back drop to any wedding. The Midi-Pyrenees is France’s largest region with Toulouse at it’s heart, the most important city in the southwest of France. The region is home to some of the greatest places to visit like the famous Rocamadour a holy shrine, and one of the most visited places in France.

Toulouse is the country’s fourth largest metropolis and major university city, with two striking cathedrals. The city has a lively street life, named the pink city because of it’s famous red brick buildings. The French say that the city changes pink at dawn, red at noon and mauve at dusk.

Coming and Going

The region has 5 airports, Toulouse, Tarbes, Rodez-Marcillac, Castres-Mazamet and Brive.  This region has numerous international rail connections with Toulouse. The TGV runs from Paris to Tarbes with both serving good regional connections. The region has 7 auto routes providing great access across the region.
